JBII Tour Huge Success. Coverage by 2 Local TV Stations!

Report from Stocker11:

There were about 5 dignitaries cutting the ribbon with JB. I hope the entire event will be on the JBI website as it was obvious that the speakers were extremely excited at the prospect of being involved with JBI in the State of New York.
There were about 40 who came from the plastic convention. They all appeared mesmerized by John’s presentation. They had a number of questions that, when answered, appeared to remove any doubts about the technology.

Great day for JBI.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Imagine turning scraps of plastic into usable fuels. Some creative minds are making the idea into a reality, and it's happening right in Niagara Falls.

Currently, some 30 million tons of waste plastic in the U.S. goes to landfills. Plastic is made from oil, and now a company called J.B.I. based in Niagara Falls has found a way to convert the plastic back to oil.

This is no ordinary ribbon cutting. It may very well be the inauguration of a new era that converts waste plastic, like packaging from meat plants and scrap from auto factories, to usable gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, and natural gas.

JBI President and CEO John Bordynuik said, "The fuel reproduces cleaner than the fuels currently found in industry, due to the fact that plastics is already a highly refined hydrocarbon."

Plastic items we're all familiar with at home can become raw material for the process. The plastic is shredded first and then heated up into a gas. The processor, through a special catalyst, cracks the hydrocarbon chains in the plastic and separates out usable fuel.

"There's your fuel there That's it. This is heating oil right here. This is Number 2 Spec Fuel Oil," said Bordynuik.

It gets filtered and then pumped right into a tanker truck outside the plant. A factory in Canada will use the product to make plastic pipes. Niagara Falls is hoping the plastics-to-oil manufacturing process will expand and create more green jobs.

Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster said, "Every waste hauler in the United States, Canada, and a lot of other places, is going to have one of these units located on site, because now they can take plastic they would otherwise pay to landfill, and they can convert it into fuel to run their vehicles."

The creative development for the process started in this lab less than two years ago. A couple of pints of oil could be produced a day. The current plant produces 109 barrels a day. In two more years, the goal is to produce 20,000 barrels a day, and there's no shortage of plastic.

Bordynuik said, "We received 18 pallets of these alone last week. About 40,000 pounds we received. That's a lot of plastic, but to us, it's a lot of fuel. This is 109 barrels of fuel. 4,400 gallons of diesel."

The natural gas produced is used to heat and run the process. JBI created 40 green jobs to run the plant.

JBII Investors are an Extremely Intelligent Bunch

You would HAVE to be to see the tremendous potential here.

Dumb people just can't see it.......even though it's about as obvious as a Big Green ELEPHANT would be in a room.

The issue is some people are color blind, and/or prejudiced.

If they're color blind, they don't see the Green Elephant.

If they're prejudiced (PRE Judgemental), then they can't see it either, because their blinders (PRE conceived notions they CANNOT get beyond) prevent it.

But SMART people don't have those problems.......they look at JBII objectively (keep an open mind), and do the research required to come to their decision.

And when they do THAT...well....they come to the conclusion that JBII is the Ultimate No Brainer.

Johnik opines on timing of JBI permits

Looks to me like we have avoided a DEC public hearing on the permits.

The DEC, not surprisingly, issued a "negative" SEQR declaration, which means that "the Lead Agency [i.e., the DEC] has determined that the project will not have a significant impact on the environment ."

http://www.dec.ny.gov/cfmx/extapps/envapps/index.cfm?view=detail&applid=770377
(click on the question mark next to "SEQR Determination")

Following the DEC's SEQR guidance chart, that determination should permit JBI to avoid DEC consideration of a public hearing (bypassing "step 9").

http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/32521.html

Not having to go through a public hearing, in turn, would shorten the timeframe in which we should expect to see the air and solid waste permits.

http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6226.html

Thus, it appears that we have started the 90-day countdown in which the DEC will issue its decision, commencing on 5/19/11. That 90-day timeframe, of course, represents the outer limit of the DEC's final decision, not the expected arrival date.

For now, we see the comment period is open until 06/09/11, so we can anticipate that no final decision shall be rendered prior to that date. Once we pass June 9, however, I don't see anything further standing in the way of JBI's permits. Given the location of the plant, it is doubtful that an abutter would raise any objections. So I certainly would not be surprised to see June 10 mark the long-anticipated arrival of JBI's permitting.

Cheers!

JBII to be a Tour Destination hosted by Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) on Thursday, May 26, 2011.

Tour of Recycling & Waste Recovery Facilities, Niagara Falls Region:

Visit # 3: A pilot plant showcasing an emerging technology that converts residual plastic waste into fuels.

JBI, Inc. (Plastics to Oil plant), 20 Iroquois Street, Niagara Falls, NY, USA

JBI converts plastics-to-fuel and natural gas, ensuring that the embedded energy in residual plastics is managed and conserved
as an important and useful resource, rather than treated as a disposable waste. JBI’s fully automated process vaporizes plastics and
cracks their hydrocarbon chains using a proprietary catalyst. The New York Department of Environmental Conservation (NYDEC)
has recently granted the plant a consent order to operate commercially.

The Love of a Long. From Paco_Matrid

Re: None Post # of 107516
Good morning everybody!!!

It´s going to be a fun 32 days on our way to the CC

It´s my firts post here but I´ve been listening to you all since the bear rally from 7 to 1. I started my position on 3,2... then I bought some more on 5 and finally, my biggest move was made at 7,5 (you can all imagine how many times I´ve dreamt about that movement)

At that time my share portfolio was made of 4 four companies, 3 conservative and JBI. Retrospectively speaking, you can imagine how much I´ve sweated with this company. Besides all the speculation and the doomwatchers, I´ve been making my position stronger with all I got, averaging down all that I could, knowing that the risk was CRAZY. My last buy was made at 0.55 and, with this move, I finished with my conservative portfolio (100% JBI). After that, the only thing I could do is to wait and listen to you all: the nonsayers and my dear friends, the longs...

Yes I know, you all can say that I don´t know what I´m doing and I have to admit that it´s been a long-suffering year. However, I´ve never lost my faith in John... and you guys have kept me convinced that this was a once in a life time opportunity. YES, in my case, it´s just a matter of feeling and faith in what John is doing in JBI (besides the mistakes he´s done along the way... but hey, he´s learned quite a lot from those mistakes)

I´m from Spain and I talked about this company with my dear friend jromero. We both have shared a lot of good conversations about everything you post and I would like to thank Rawnoc, Zardiw, grantg2, soss, lovethatgreen (sorry for the rally of April), fourkids_9pets and last but not least... a special thanks to Estimated_Prophet and Justice37

By the way, if some of you are wondering, I have not sold a single share so far... and I will not sell a single share at these prices. You shorts can discredit my doing all you want, but here I stay proudly as a true LONG

Good luck to ALL!!!!!

Fuel Sales to OXY (NYSE)!!

THOROLD, Ontario, May 9, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- JBI, Inc. (the "Company" or "JBII") (OTCQX:JBII) announced today that Oxy Vinyl Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum (NYSE:OXY - News), has agreed to purchase JBI's low sulphur heating oil for $109.80 per barrel. Low sulphur heating oil is a product of our Plastic2Oil(TM) process. Under the terms of the agreement, the first order of approximately 214 barrels of low sulphur heating oil is expected to be delivered this week.

"Today's announcement is for the sale of JBI petroleum products derived from waste plastic," said CEO John Bordynuik. "I am pleased that our green initiative has come to fruition evidenced by Oxy Vinyl's purchase."

JBI's revolutionary Plastic2Oil(TM) process converts mixed waste plastic into separated diesel, heating oil, and light naphtha fuels. Low sulphur heating oil is diesel fuel without transport additives. In Q1 2011, Bordynuik designed quality controls, fuel blending, and automatic additive injection so that the fuel produced is a final product, unlike crude oil. The agreement with Oxy Vinyl marks the company's first alternative fuel sale.

JBII used highly reputable laboratories and service providers to validate and test its Plastic2Oil(TM) process and products. This strategy has provided a long term benefit to our shareholders.
